In case you didn’t know, my husband, David is running for mayor of Royston, Georgia. He is well qualified for the position. He has 12 years experience as a member of the Royston City Council. He has worked hard for this community and would make a great leader! He is creative in his ideas and has Royston’s interests at heart!

We clean up real well. Don’t we. This picture was taken not too long ago at a cousin’s wedding. Oh the girls are so lovely all dolled up and looking so grown up. Hard to believe Sarah’s just 11 years old!

Today is her day! She turns a lovely 60 years old. She’s a delightful woman and I get to call her mom. She’s also the woman who folks often tell me, “Oh wow you really look like you mother.” She’s is a fantastic cook…and as I’m learning to cook for my family I know that she’s the biggest influence on me when it comes to the kitchen, even more than any Food Network Star.

Happy Birthday Moma!!

It was truly lovely. Whirlwind trip but I love hanging out with the sisters. We even got to see Julia & Julie! It was a good flick!

David’s Summer Project

David completely rebuilt this riding mower and chipper vac. He bought it at a great price–it didn’t run and the trailer was completely rusted out. It works beautifully now (if you can say that about a mower). It was a lot of work but David really enjoys rebuilding things. And it will make lawn and leaf season a lot easier.

At the end of our Honeymoon we trekked south of Orlando to Stuart to make a special stop–to see my sister and her family. I took this video shortly before we headed home. And goodness it melted my heart. Genevieve loves her baby brother Seth!

The deer

The deer

I spent most of yesterday cleaning and doing laundry. David has to work at the early registration day so the girls were home with me. They were getting pretty rowdy after being inside with me all day. We couldn’t go to the pool because Sarah is still getting over her cold. So I finally *made* them go outside to see if they could burn off some of their energy. Not 10 minutes after being sent out to play Lisa returned to the house, please where is the camera, quick there’s a deer in the year and I want to take it’s picture. Well we found the camera and off she ran. And I think she got a few good shots. Some are a bit blurry but not bad for a 9 year old still learning how to take pictures. After the deer wandered off the girls went on a little mission in the yard looking for traces of the deer and then they wandered over to the pond and spotted some catfish bones, ick! And then they ended up under the tree eating snacks, drinking some tea and making some silly videos. Not bad for an hour of forced play outside in the sunshine!
